dot-com.net uses cookies and similar technologies to improve site performance, secure login sessions, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when visiting our website or client portal. We also use standard server logs and third-party analytics to understand navigation patterns and optimize content and service reliability.
[a] Cookie categories: strictly necessary (authentication and core functions), performance/analytics (page load metrics and diagnostics), functionality (language, theme, and dashboard preferences), and advertising/affiliate (referral tracking and campaign measurement where applicable).
[b] Managing cookies: Control cookies via your browser settings and our consent tools. Disabling certain cookies may affect areas such as login, billing, or support. A detailed Cookie List with names, purposes, and retention periods is available in the client portal.
When you register or purchase hosting services from dot-com.net, we collect personal data such as name, company, address, email, phone, and payment details. We use this information to create and manage your account, process transactions, provide support, send service notices, and comply with legal obligations including fraud prevention and taxation.
[1.1] Account security: We implement encryption in transit, access controls, and periodic reviews to protect personal data. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. If you suspect unauthorized account use, contact support immediately.
[a] Data sharing: We share limited personal data with trusted processors needed for service delivery (domain registries, SSL authorities, payment processors, fraud screening, email/support platforms). These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the stated purposes.
[b] Retention and rights: We retain data for the duration of your services and as required by law. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing, and to object to certain uses. To exercise rights, submit a request via the client portal or email privacy@dot-com.net.
To operate hosting services, we process operational data including IP addresses, DNS records, resource utilization metrics, configuration details, and security events. We may handle content you store or transmit as necessary to provide backups, support, and security features, consistent with applicable laws and your contract.
[2.1] International transfers: Your data may be processed across regions for redundancy and support availability. We implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers. If you require data residency constraints, contact sales to discuss regional options.
By using dot-com.net cloud servers, you agree to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable laws. You retain ownership of your content and grant dot-com.net limited rights to operate, secure, back up, and deliver the services. Unless you purchase a managed tier, you are responsible for configuration, access controls, and software updates.
[1.1] Resource limits and fair use: Plans specify CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, and I/O. Workloads that impact platform stability or exceed fair use may be throttled or temporarily restricted. For sustained high demand, we will notify you and provide upgrade options.
[a] Prohibited activities: Hosting or distributing malware, spam campaigns, illegal content, DDoS activity, unauthorized penetration testing, or infringing material is prohibited. Violations may result in suspension or termination, with immediate action where necessary to protect the network and third parties.
Support tiers: Standard support covers infrastructure availability and billing; managed tiers include OS patching, proactive monitoring, backups, and incident response. Monitoring includes health checks, uptime tracking, and alerts. dot-com.net may access server telemetry and logs solely to diagnose issues and maintain service quality.
[2.1] Incident handling: For outages or security incidents, we will investigate, mitigate, and communicate status via the client portal and email. When customer action is required, prompt cooperation is necessary. Post-incident summaries may be provided for managed tiers upon request.
Your authorized email is the primary identifier for account access, billing, and legal notifications. To change the authorized email, the account owner must submit a request through the client portal and verify identity via multi-factor authentication and existing billing details. Certain changes may require additional documentation (e.g., government ID or corporate authorization letter).
[a] Verification steps: We will confirm the request via the current authorized email and, if unavailable, through alternative methods such as a support PIN, recent invoice information, or DNS/domain verification. Changes take effect only after verification is complete and a confirmation notice is sent by dot-com.net.
[b] Account security: dot-com.net may deny or delay changes if fraud or account compromise is suspected. In ownership disputes, we may request legal documentation and temporarily restrict changes until resolved.
As a dot-com.net affiliate, you agree to promote our services accurately and ethically. Prohibited practices include misleading advertising, spam, coupon misuse, and trademark bidding without permission. Affiliates must comply with marketing, privacy, and consumer protection laws and disclose affiliate relationships where required.
[1.1] Tracking and payouts: Commissions are tracked via unique affiliate links and cookies. Qualified referrals convert when new customers complete eligible purchases and remain active past any refund or chargeback period. Payout schedules, minimum thresholds, and excluded products are outlined in the affiliate dashboard.
[a] Brand guidelines: Use only approved logos and messaging provided by dot-com.net. Do not mimic our website or represent yourself as dot-com.net. We reserve the right to review and request changes to affiliate content at any time to ensure compliance.
[b] Termination: dot-com.net may suspend or terminate affiliate status for violations of policy or fraudulent activity. In such cases, pending commissions may be withheld per program terms.
Affiliates gain access to marketing assets, promotional campaigns, and real-time reporting in the affiliate portal. Competitive commission rates, performance bonuses, and seasonal promotions may be available. Dedicated affiliate support assists with optimization and compliance questions.
[2.1] Growth and transparency: Our program emphasizes transparent tracking, clear attribution windows, and on-time payments. As you scale, we can offer custom terms, co-branded materials, and exclusive offers to help you maximize results.
Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, dot-com.net disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that backups, security features, or monitoring will prevent all incidents or data loss.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, dot-com.net, its directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for: (i) loss of profits, revenue, business, customers, or anticipated savings; (ii) loss, corruption, or inaccuracy of data; (iii) loss of goodwill or reputation; (iv) business interruption; (v) loss arising from unauthorized access due to your failure to maintain security of credentials or configurations; or (vi) any indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, special, or punitive damages, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Except for amounts you owe, and to the extent not prohibited by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the services in any twelve (12) month period will not exceed the amount you actually paid to dot-com.net for the specific service giving rise to the claim during that period.
You are responsible for: maintaining current and tested backups of your content unless your plan explicitly includes managed backups; securing your applications, code, plugins, and access credentials; reviewing configuration changes; and promptly applying updates. Managed backups, where purchased, complement but do not replace your own disaster recovery strategy.
dot-com.net will not be liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to DDoS attacks, network or carrier issues, power outages, labor disputes, acts of God, acts of government, wars, civil disturbances, supply chain disruptions, or failures of third-party service providers.
Where the services involve third-party software, platforms, registries, or providers, those third parties are solely responsible for their performance and terms. dot-com.net is not liable for outages, changes, or defects in third-party services, or for impacts resulting from your chosen integrations.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the services complies with applicable laws and regulations. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless dot-com.net from claims, damages, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your use of the services, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
Service credits or remedies set out in any SLA are your sole and exclusive remedies for service unavailability or performance shortfalls. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
